Greetings!!! My name is Benton Kody Kelso, I go by Kody, and I am a long time resident of the Joplin area. I spent the first 18 years of my life in Diamond Missouri where I graduated in 2003. Directly after, I attended college where I studied biology for 4 years. While doing that, I worked in the restaurant industry where I learned the value of customer service and strived to provide the best guest experience. After college I decided to try something new, which turned out to be the car business in 2012. I served as a sales person at the local Toyota store where I excelled and quickly found myself at the top of the sales board. After three short years of being a salesperson I earned a promotion as a sales manager where I served for and additional 9 years. We achieved great success as the Joplin area leading car dealership and received many awards for our ability to provide the best customer service in the 4 states. As much as I enjoyed Toyota and all the great customers I knew it was time for a change. In 2013 I was introduced to my wife Dameika, who quickly became the love of my life. We married in 2014 and are the proud parents of two beautiful little girls, Cheslynn and Shaelynn. We have been married for 10 years now and for all 10 years I worked at the dealership 50 hours a week. After being a stay at home mother for 7 years she decided it was time for a change. That change ended up being real estate, where she has seen great success for the last 3 years. Her success, and my long hours at the dealership, made me look at my career at the dealership and we knew we needed a change. Fast forward to 2024. I left the car business and started a new career in the real estate world. This is a new beginning for us and we couldn’t be more excited. I’m here to serve to the best of my ability. My successes in the car business came because of honesty and integrity. Those are the same attributes I will bring to this career.
